Local Port Forwarding on D-Link D2750B using Lan Loopback

Tagged InAllNetworking

I have a home web server that I access both remotely and locally, for remote access I have a domain name pointed at my internet connection but I also wanted to access the exact same address to access it locally. This used to work fine with my old netgear router, but after upgrading to a new D-Link router, hitting the domain name directed me to the router homepage.

I had port forwarding setup on port 80 and all worked well remotely. However there was one simple step I missed to get it working locally. Lan Loopback ticking that made everything work. So easy! and now my domains/subdomains work both remotely and locally.

Happy Days!
